Good morning or good night. I would like to tell you how important saint seiya was in my life. Today I am 39, but my skin still bristles when I read something new from Saint Seiya. I am in love with your work.
Since childhood I saw all the repetitions of each chapter of the anime, and daydreaming that I myself was a saint of athena.
Next dimension is immaculate. Sublime, incredibly addictive. We need you to continue with that work. I need it. I hope to visit Japan soon and to meet you ... I don't speak a bit of Japanese but as I learned with Seiya, I can make the miracle possible!

初めてお便りさせて頂きます。４０代の３児の父親ですが、
聖闘士星矢NDは、オールカラーの単行本でとても衝撃を
受けました。聖闘士星矢は、私の少年時代に週刊少年ジャンプ
で、毎週楽しみに読ませて頂いていた為、この連載が開始した
時から、購入させて頂いています。
私事ですが、私の次男は発達障害で病院に通っています。
その息子は本が大好きで本ばかり見ていたのですが、私の知らないうちに、聖闘士星矢NDを保育園の年長から愛読していたようです。最近は、１３巻がいつ発売するか、毎日の様に聞いてきます。
親子そろって最新巻を楽しみにしいます。

　車田先生、お元気ですか。

　私の「星矢」についての思い出。

　私が小学生の頃になりますが、
私の住む地域に、
ある都心部から、夏休みを利用して、親戚が帰省して来る事がありました。

その頃は、よく夏に、その親戚が、帰省していました。

　その親戚には、私より一つ年上の子供がいました。

彼と、テレビで、アニメの「星矢」を見ていた時、
ちょうど、ポセイドン編の放送でしたが、
突然、その子供が
「これ、もう終わりになる」と言い出しました。

私は、びっくりし、「そんな訳がない」と言い返しましたが、
彼は、「俺の所じゃ、もう終わりになっている」と言って、利きませんでした。

　その後、本当にアニメ版「星矢」が、最終回を迎えてしまったので、
私は愕然としました。

小学生の頃の私にすれば、信じ難い事でしたが、
「都会と田舎では差がある」という事実を、否応なしに実感させられた出来事でした。

1980年後半～1990年初頭頃、放送されていた、アニメ版「星矢」について、
地方ごとに放送されていたようですが、
私の住んでいる地域は、ある地域よりも遅れて放送されていたようです。
後々、アニメ雑誌などの資料からも、それを知り、ショックでした。

私にとって、「星矢」は、楽しい思い出もあるけど、
辛い思い出もある作品です。

正統続編であるnext dimensionの最新刊がいつ発売されるのか毎日チェックしています。
私の2大ブームは、聖闘士星矢の今後のストーリと、10月から始まるおっさんずラブのキャストが不明なことです。
わからない中、前聖戦の次元の崩壊がアテナの同時存在が原因であったり、星矢を救った時に星矢はアテナの記憶がないとしてもアテナは躊躇しないだろうなどと予想することも楽しいです。

　車田先生、お元気ですか。

　キャンサーのデスマスクと紫龍の闘いについて、
黄道十二宮編の序盤なのですが、私にとって、
すごくインパクトがあるエピソードです。

積士気冥界波とか、怖ろしい技ですね。

敵を、死者の国を意味する黄泉津比良坂に落とすんですよね。

怖いですけど、
黄泉津比良坂が、日本神話の地名である事とか、どこかロマンがありますね。

そういった分野に、私が啓蒙されたのは、
「星矢」によるところが大きいです。

　黄泉津比良坂では、紫龍の負傷した眼が見えるようになったり、
どこまでも続く死者の行列に、氷河がいたり、
それを見守る沙織がいたり、
いかにも、この世ではない描写があります。

もし、彼岸という、この世とあの世の境目が実在するなら、
こういった、肉体からの精神の超越という現象が起きても、
なんら不思議ではないのかも知れませんね。

以上のような超自然的な世界や思想を肯定するところに、
「星矢」が単なるバトル漫画枠で括れない、
壮大さを感じます。

　「星矢」がジャンプで連載されていた当時は、
1980年代後半から1990年代前半頃でしたね。

日本の景気が、上昇志向で、
物質面は満たされていながら、
どこか、違和感を感じ、
内面に不安を抱いていた人が多かったのか、

テレビでは、心霊現象や終末論などを扱った番組が
多く放送されていた頃だったと思います。

この時代が、車田先生を通して、
デスマスクというキャラクターを創造させた、
というなら、
なんとも不思議な時代でしたね。

Porque no hacer una película con Febo Abel de Antagonista, donde se asocie al Dios desconocido de los griegos. Y el tome la 13ra armadura de oro (oficuo). Y pueda transformarse en un titán (algo así como el cronos de "Ira de titanes". Seiya, Shiryu, Shun, Hyoga e Ikki son los nuevos caballeros de oro y se puede ubicar después de los eventos del Next Dimension ya ellos en versión adulto. Y se enfrenten Abel en sus dos formas (con la armadura y su forma titan) vencidas estas tendría una forma intermedia entre ambas (algo así estilo hulk pero con la piel blanca) en esta forma pelearía contra Athena. Con más profundidad en la historia y elegir el tipo de animación correcta de puede sacar una buena película.

I am a big fan of your work and especially Saint Seiya which is my favorite manga of all time. Thank you very much for this.

I really appreciate Rôshi (the old master) called Libra no Dohko. I was surprised when he becomes young in Hades Chapter but I was very disappointed because you describe him as the strongest Saint and you didn't show him fighting in the inferno. It was a good time to show the capabilities of 261 years old Goldsaint! Maybe in the future.

By the way, I've always asked myself if the face of young Dôhko was inspired by Sonny Chiba. Maybe one day you'll answer in an interview.
